Robert F. Terchek Sr., 75, Easton, formerly of Loretto, died Wednesday. He was born in Carbondale, son of Frank and Josephine (Oven) Terchek. Surviving are his wife, Florence (Hogue); four children: Robert Jr. of Lansdale, Thomas of Warren, N.J., Christine Bates of Collegeville and Dr. Melissa Terchek-Woods of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Handy of Brielle, N.J. Robert served in the National Guard. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel, Loretto.
