Judith A. Whitney, 74, Claysburg, died Thursday morning at Golden LivingCenter-Hillview.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Clyde and Helen (Riddle) Whitney. She was previously married to Robert D. Flegal, and he died Aug. 27, 2011.
Surviving are six children: Cheryl L. Shaw and husband, Gary, of Wolfsburg, Mont., Robert L. Flegal and wife, Jen, of Cumberland, Md., Kenneth D. Flegal and wife, Caroline, of Altoona, Keith C. Flegal and wife, Tina, of Hollidaysburg, Laura R. Wallace and husband, Alan, of Greenwood and Daniel B. Flegal of Hollidaysburg; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Whitney and wife, Mary, of Piqua, Ohio, and their children, Charles Whitney II, Rhonda Brennan and Linda Allison.
Judith graduated from Mount Aloysius College with a degree in occupational therapy, and she worked as an occupational therapist for 30 years in Clarion and southwest Virginia and in home nursing. She loved her cats, doing puzzles and knitting.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services.
Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judith's memory may be given to the funeral home.
