Madeline Reffner, 60, Hollidaysburg, died early Tuesday morning at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Spangler, daughter of Theresa R. (Noel) Reffner and the late Robert G. Reffner.
Surviving are her mother of Hollidaysburg; four sisters: Linda in North Carolina, Kathy O'Connor and husband, Dennis, of York, Mary Skalicky and husband, Robert, in New York and Ann Cullen in California; and a brother, Mark and wife, Audrey, in New Jersey.

Madeline was a 1970 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School. She had been employed at Kmart for more than nine years as a cashier, at Arby's for five years and at Carl's Jr. Fast Food in California. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, where she was a member of the choir.
Madeline called bingo at St. Leonard's Home every Wednesday, and she informed parish children of their starting date for CCD. She loved swimming with friends at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altoona, and she enjoyed casinos, playing bingo, shopping with Carol, eating out, watching game shows and her dog, Patches.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a vigil service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, by Father Clement G. Gardner. Committal will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
