Janet E. Desch, 65, Duncansville, passed away Sunday at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of Katie (Burket) Burket and the late Gerald Burket.
Surviving are her mother of Imler; two sons: Ron Desch of Pittsburgh and Douglas Black of Amarillo, Texas; and four siblings: Dennis and Allen Burket, Karen Bilger and Jean Matters, all of Claysburg.

Janet was a 1965 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. She retired in 2004 from SKF Industries. She enjoyed traveling, latch hooking, gardening, volunteering at the Claysburg Senior Center and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, followed by a funeral service at 8 p.m., Pastor James Neatrour officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Claysburg Senior Center or the Altoona Regional Palliative Care Unit.
