Vallie R. Baker, 64, Windber, went to be with Jesus on Thursday. He was born in Spangler, son of the late Elijah and Alice (Kelly) Baker. Surviving are a daughter, Bethany Turner of Mexico, Mo.; three grandsons; and siblings: Mary Ellen Wornoff, Sacramento, Calif., Sarah C. Shandor, Cresson, and Brian C. Baker, Portage. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Cherry Tree.
