William H. Mock, 84, Roaring Spring, died Thursday morning at Donahoe Manor, Bedford.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Robert W. and Mary (Delozier) Mock. He married Gladys M. Replogle on June 30, 1955, and she died April 3, 2005.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Phyllis A. Mock of Hollidaysburg; a granddaughter, Catie Mock in West Virginia; and two sisters: Mona Shriver and Martha Mock, both of Roaring Spring. He is also survived by his caregivers: Ruth Kensinger, Beverly Benson and June Weyandt; and a lot of special friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael W., on May 12, 2000; and six siblings: infant Kenneth, Leona Campbell, Ruth Riner, Dean, Regis and Carl.
Bill was a 1947 graduate of Roaring Spring High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Appleton Papers Inc., Roaring Spring, after 44 years of service and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Roaring Spring.
Bill loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and Penn State football. He enjoyed repairing clocks and spending time with and going for rides with his friends, and he was very active in his church.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Roaring Spring, the Rev. Kaye Hute officiating. Military honors will be performed at the church by the Blair County Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will be made at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
