Lloyd E. Hostler Sr., 90, Bellwood, died Tuesday evening at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone.
He was born in Reightown, Antis Township, son of the late Austin C. and Jessie C. (Caswell) Hostler. He married Betty W. Lear on Oct. 6, 1945, at Bellwood EUB, and she died Sept. 18, 2008.
Surviving are a son, Larry G. (Diane) of Fostoria; two daughters: Gloria J. Nicodemus of Dalmatia and Susan R. (Daniel) Waite of Riggles Gap; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a great-grandchild expected in September; three sisters: Lulu (Clyde) Flaugh of Bellemead, Eva Flaugh of Driftwood and Eunice Albright of Altoona; two brothers: Wayne of Norton, Ohio, and Austin Lynn (Pauline) of Emporium; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd E. Jr., on Nov. 19, 1999; four brothers: William, Allen, Bernard and Melvin; and a sister, Beatrice Harper.
Lloyd was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the Asiatic/Pacific theater, and was awarded a Bronze Star medal. He retired as a machinist/tool and die maker at SKF Industries. He was a member of Grace Alive Ministries, Glasgow, and also belonged to the John M. Anderson American Legion and Bellwood-Antis Historical Society. He enjoyed reading, hunting and spending time at his hunting camp with his family.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, Pastor William Ice officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
