Donna J. Hesley, 71, Bellwood, died Jan. 31, 2013, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William C. and Mae E. (Gruber) Jewell. She married Thomas E. Hesley, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1997.
Surviving are a son, Thomas J. of Bellwood; four daughters: Christine A. (Richard) Gonder and Diane M. (Roger) Lannen, both of Sinking Valley, Mary Ann (Thomas) Henderson of Boalsburg and Jo Ann (Kenneth) Campbell of Bellwood; eight grandchildren: Garrett Gonder, Trey Campbell, Grant Gonder, Tyler Campbell, Katie Jo Campbell and Jessica, Allison and Leah Henderson; and a sister, Joan J. Sargent of Bellwood.

Donna was a 1959 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading, dancing at the Newburg Fire Hall and making beautiful floral arrangements. She loved her family, cherished her friendships and was so proud of her hometown of Bellwood. She was known for creating a warm and inviting home where family and friends were always welcome. She always had a kind word and found something positive in every person, and she was fond of her many caregivers and the residents at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, followed by a memorial service at 8 p.m., Rick Beatty officiating.
The family suggests that contributions in Donna's memory be made to the Bellwood-Antis Public Library.
