After a flurry of committee meetings, the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society announced confirmation of the local non-profit animal shelter's popular fundraising events for 2013.
"It's time to get out those calendars and pen in dates for very popular, exciting community events to benefit the Central PA Humane Society," said Jill Reigh, director of outreach and marketing for the CPHS.
"Starting in March with the Perfect Pet Calendar Contest and wrapping up with the newly famous Fur Ball in October, we have something fun for everyone this year. The best part is that while the humans are having fun, the animals benefit because all of the money raised goes directly to help animals in need right here in Central Pennsylvania."
Dates are as follows:
Picture Perfect Pet Contest (for 2014 calendar) - March 1 to July 1.
Pints for Pets - May 18 (two sessions).
Mulligan's Mutts annual golf outing - June 14.
Bikers for Barkers (classic cars too this year) -? July 14.
Fur Ball - Oct. 26.
The CPHS mission is to prevent animal neglect and cruelty through education and enforcement while providing a safe haven and finding forever homes for those in need.
