Brian Leap, a Bellwood-Antis graduate, placed second in the men's triple jump with an effort of 50 feet, 7.25 inches (15.42) for the Penn State men's track and field team at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup Saturday. Leap also finished fourth in the long jump.

Altoona graduate Dylan Mountain finished seventh in the 3K with a time of 8:33.71 for the Lock Haven track team at the event. Mountain's time was the third fastest in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference this year.

Northern Bedford graduate Nicole Leach earned a 10th-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.45 for the St. Francis women's track and field team at the Youngstown State National Invitational on Saturday.

Jordan Swauger, a Hollidaysburg graduate, scored 28 points and had 10 rebounds for the Pennsylvania Highlands men's basketball team in a 106-82 win over Eastern Gateway on Wednesday.

Swauger scored 18 points and had six rebounds for the Black Bears in a loss Saturday.

Cambria Heights graduate Ian Vescovi scored 18 points and had 13 rebounds in a 77-60 UPJ victory over Shepherd on Jan. 28.

Elle Collins, a Hollidaysburg graduate, led all scorers with 18 points for the St. Vincent women's basketball team in a victory over Thiel and added 14 points in a triumph over Grove City.

Collins is fourth in the league in 3-pointers made and seventh in 3-point percentage.
