PORTAGE - Emily Chobany went over the 1,000-point mark for her career, scoring 16 points in leading the Portage Area High School girls basketball team to a 62-37 win over Windber on Saturday.

Chobany scored the bucket in the third quarter on a steal that she converted into a layup.

Senior teammate Candice Ramus also scored 11 points for Portage (17-2). Emily McCabe, another senior, added 12 points. Both girls played their final home game for the Mustangs.

Olivia McCabe added 11 points, seven rebounds and five blocks for Portage, which led 29-16 at the break.

Windber fell to 9-10.
