Elda Mae Walters, 84, formerly of Duncansville, died Saturday at The Village at Morrisons Cove.
She was born in Duncansville, daughter of the late Eli and Sarah (Clapper) Walters.
She is survived by two brothers: Dean of Bakers Summit and Wilford of Duncansville; and many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters: Gladys Kirkham, Naomi Young, Myla Helsel and Mary Ellen; and a brother, Fred.
She was a member of Carson Valley Church of the Brethren and formerly attended Dry Run Independent Baptist Church.
Mrs. Walters attended Duncansville School.
She was a housekeeper for private residences. She retired from the Presbyterian Home in 1988.
She was a past member of the Foot of Ten XYZ Senior Club and the Duncansville Golden Agers. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. service on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, Pastor Bradley Runkle officiating. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
