Altoona boys fall late

MILL HALL - Tyler Everhart completed a three-point play with 13.2 seconds left to lift Central Mountain past Altoona, 57-56, in high school boys basketball action Thursday for the Wildcats' 10th win in 11 games.

The play culminated a 21-11 fourth quarter for the Wildcats.

Altoona missed a shot on its final possession that could have won the game. Manny Span led the Mountain Lions with 14 points.

Kevin Givens and Tony Acrie added 10 points each for Altoona.
