Zella Carson, 97, Warren, Ohio, formerly of Bakerton, died Wednesday. She was born in Bakerton, daughter of Ruben and Rose (Dowey) West. Surviving are a daughter, Linda W. Maurer of Warren, Ohio; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry West of Clearwater, Fla. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Bakerton United Methodist Church, the Rev. Linda Lacovic officiating. Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Carrolltown.
