Patrina M. McIntyre, 62, Claysburg, passed away Thursday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born in Stuttgart, Germany, daughter of the late Fred W. and Lena (Gazzara) Weyandt. She married Richard I. McIntyre on May 1, 1970, in Claysburg.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Michele A. McIntyre and fiance, Hugh; and special cousins: Angela and Laura.
Patrina was a 1968 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and a 1970 graduate of the Altoona Beauty School. She was the former director of the Claysburg Senior Center and a cosmetology teacher at the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center and the Altoona Beauty School. She was a member of St. Thomas More Chapel, Claysburg, and the St. Thomas More Women's Club.
Patrina also belonged to the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Association and Tres Dias and served on the board of trustees for the Claysburg Area Public Library and Blair County Library System. She enjoyed reading, writing letters and sending postcards to military personnel overseas.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, where a vigil service will be held at 2 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at St. Thomas More Chapel, Claysburg, Monsignor Robert Mazur and Father Leo A. Lynch officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Roaring Spring Community Library or the Claysburg Area Public Library.
