Marie V. Oswald, 75, Altoona, died Monday afternoon at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Eugene and Maria T. Bott. She married Ernest E. Oswald on Nov. 29, 1958, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2012.
Surviving are two children: Mark E. of Altoona and Cynthia M. at home; five grandchildren: Krista Messner, Peggy Messner, Jada Oswald, Laura Oswald and Alicia Oswald; eight great-grandchildren: Jayce Johnston, Avan Oswald, Jasmyn Gasper, Selena Hasselbarth, Gage Hasselbarth, Brock Schnarrs, Tanner Schnarrs and Jordan Schnarrs; a daughter-in-law, Barb Oswald; and three siblings: Rose Ehgartner and husband, George, Betty Seasoltz and Joseph Bott, all of Altoona.

Marie was a 1956 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She retired as a manager from Airwalk after 10 years of service and previously had been employed as a manager by Warnaco for 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona.
