Mary Marjorie Moore, 91, Altoona, passed away Friday at Valley View Home.
Margie was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Sellers) Wood. She married Earle Moore on July 24, 1944. He died on Dec. 6, 1969.
Margie is survived by three daughters: Nancy (James) Rhodes, Chambersburg, Linda (James) Bacza, with whom Margie resided, and Debra (Thomas) Ross, Greenwood; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Margie was preceded in death by two sisters: Louise Griffin and Carolyn Donahoe.
Margie was a 1938 graduate of Altoona High School.
Margie was a member of Whenwood United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Association.
Margie retired as a clerk from Dick's Pharmacy with 22 years of service and previously worked for Puritan and Warnaco.
Margie enjoyed reading and was a member of AARP, the Red Hats and Senior Citizen Advisory Council of Tyrone.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona, where services will be held at 11 a.m. immediately following the visitation by the Rev. Evelyn Madison. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Margie may be given to the Whenwood United Methodist Church.
