Inez M. (Haxel) Johnson, 95, Houtzdale, died Thursday. She was born in Houtzdale, daughter of Percey and Anna (Broberg) Haxel. She married the late Arthur Johnson. Surviving are two sons: James A. and Paul A.; eight grandchildren; and two brothers: Milton and Karl Haxel. She was preceded in death by three siblings: Lois Harker, Ernestine Love and William Haxel. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, the Rev. Jonathan Schnibben officiating. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery, Brisbin.
