Miss Kurty is the daughter of Mark and Nicole Flaugh of East Freedom.
She is a 2010 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg, and she is pursuing her bachelor's degree of criminal justice at Penn State Altoona.

He is a carpenter at Berkheimer's Construction.
