PITTSBURGH - The Altoona Lady Lions enjoyed a midseason breather, taking to the road and breezing past host Brashear, 88-18, Wednesday in high school girls basketball.
Altoona built a 31-7 lead after one quarter and allowed Lady Lions coach Jill Helsel to get all 14 of her players into the game.
"This gave all our young kids a chance to get in there and get some experience,'' Helsel said.
Darby Lee led Altoona, which improved to 8-4, with a game-high 19 points, while Brittnee Davis added 11 and Allison Caracciolo scored 10.
