The Western Pennsylvania Football Conference recently announced its 19 scholar-athlete award winners for the 2012 season.

Bedford's Luke Campbell, Cambria Heights' Donnie Contorchick, Central Cambria's Zach Mazzarella and Chestnut Ridge's Brad Winegardner were the other award winners from school's in the Altoona Mirror coverage area.
Scholar-athlete award winners are usually the seniors with the highest grade-point average on their respective teams. There are conference schools that did not submit an award winner.
