Jean H. Finnegan, 77, Imler, passed away Thursday at UPMC Bedford Memorial.
She was born in Kimmel Township, daughter of the late Jesse and Helen (Mann) Welch. She married Harry "Bud" Finnegan on June 30, 1952, in Cumberland, Md., and he passed away Feb. 7, 1994.
Surviving are three sons: Chester, Ricky and Scott, all of Imler; two daughters: Cynthia Mauk and Anita Finnegan, both of Imler; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers: Melvin Welch of Imler and Jesse Welch of Martinsburg; her twin sister, Joan Berkheimer of Osterburg; and a sister, Marie Gibbons of Imler.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse; three sisters: Sarah, Margie and Madeline; and a brother, Foster.
Jean retired as a cook at the Landmark Restaurant and was also a cook for the Chestnut Ridge School District. She was a former member of the Imler Area Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed flowers and her cats.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Area Agency on Aging in Bedford, Home Nursing Agency or American Cancer Society.
