Leo W. Pierce, 57, Altoona, died Friday. He was born in Chicago, son of the late Willis and Myrtle (Mosley) Pierce. Surviving are five siblings: Maxine Harris in Nebraska, Shirley Weierick in Maryland, Gloria Pierce in Illinois, Christina Moore of Altoona and Terry Pierce in Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tony. Leo was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Altoona. Arrangements are by Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., Duncansville.
