Florine M. Hite, 87, Tipton, died Sunday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of James and Mae (Whitfield) High. She married the late Charles M. "Chick" Hite. Surviving are four children: Terry L. of Tipton, Jeff of Altoona, Rhonda D. Melcher of Clawson, Mich., and Tamara L. Shannon of Tyrone; 17 grandchildren; and two sisters: Delores Quirin of Altoona and Shirley Bowman in Virginia. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian W. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Tipton Baptist Church.
