William J. McLaughlin, 80, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Altoona Regional.
He was born in the Schuylkill area of Philadelphia, son of the late Peter and Mary (Dougherty) McLaughlin. He married Beverley J. Petucci on Jan. 25, 1990.
Surviving are his wife, Beverley; four daughters: Barbara (Kurt) Stull of Altoona, Donna (William) Hackett in Texas, Carol (Rodney) Ochoa of State College and Alice McLaughlin of Bellwood; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Deemer; and two brothers: Peter and John McLaughlin.
Mr. McLaughlin was a graduate of South East Catholic High School. He retired from Conrail in January 1990. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and cats.
Friends will be received Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
