John Robert Feather, 81, Fairfax City, Va., died Dec. 8, 2012. He was born in Altoona. He married Valinda Butler on Nov. 26, 1953. Surviving are his former wife, Valinda; four children: John, Valinda, Russell and Mel; three grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Bagaason; John's twin brother, James; and a younger brother, Frank. He was a U. S. Navy veteran. The family is planning a commemorative service to be held at a later date.
