Audrey A. Hicks, 83, formerly of Country Manor, Duncansville, died Saturday morning at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Clair and Margaret (Reed) Clapper. She married Fred V. Hicks on Oct. 24, 1947, at Williamsburg Church of the Brethren. He died Jan. 19, 2003, after having shared 55 years of marriage.
Surviving are two sons: Bruce and wife, Linda, and Donald V. and wife, Carrie Ann, all of Hollidaysburg; three grandsons: Bryan, Eric and Bradley; a great-granddaughter, Maggie Marie; and two sisters: Lillian Hyle and Jane McClaskey.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald and Jack.
Mrs. Hicks was a 1947 graduate of Williamsburg High School. She attended Canoe Creek United Methodist Church.
Audrey enjoyed her family, playing bingo and attending council meetings at Country Manor.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday by Anna Belle Gunnett.
Interment will be at New Canoe Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, Blair County Unit.
