Altoona White posts victory over Maroon

Bobby Corl scored 16 points, and Tyson Abram added 14 points as Altoona White topped Altoona Maroon, 44-33, in junior high school boys basketball Friday at the AAJHS Fieldhouse.

Altoona White improved its record to 7-1.

Elijah Gage scored a team-high 14 points for Altoona Maroon, which fell to 5-2.

ALTOONA MAROON (33): Smith 5, Dixon 2, Gage 14, Watson 4, Port 8.

ALTOONA WHITE (44): Luciano 2, Green 4, Corl 16, Betar 2, Abram 14, Gehret 3, Morris 1, Marra 2.

Adam Gould and Dan Terek scored 10 points apiece as Penn Cambria edged Bishop Guilfoyle in overtime.

Dakota Leamer of BG led all scorers with 13 points; the Marauders got the ball back with less than 2 seconds left in overtime but couldn't get off a shot to tie or win the game.
