Amelia C. Haine, 101, formerly of western Pennsylvania, died Sunday at Homewood at Martinsburg.
She was born in Beaver, daughter of Bert and Amelia "Amy" (Schaal) Carothers. She married the Rev. Dr. Cuthbert E. Haine on Oct. 4, 1935, and he died in August 2003 after sharing 67 years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Debora K. Wentz of Hollidaysburg; a son, Jim and wife, Patricia, of Guilford, Vt.; four stepgrandchildren: Donald, Alison, Daniel and Benjamin; and a stepgreat-grandson, Tyler.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Arthur.
Amelia was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School and Geneva College, Beaver Falls. She was a former elementary school teacher, having taught in Ridgway and Washington, Pa. She was a pastor's wife from the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the chapel at Homewood at Martinsburg by Pastor Jerry McCuller Jr. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester, Pa.
Memorials may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Homewood at Martinsburg.
