Julio Ceasar "Jule" DeRensis, 76, Altoona, died early Saturday morning at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Michele and Antonietta (Macchiarola) DeRensis. He married Linda Ray Fowkes on Oct. 27, 1970, in Duncansville.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; two sons: Bill Kelly and wife, Jerri, and their son, Philip, in Texas and Albert Stoner in North Carolina; a brother, Louis DeRensis of Altoona; and two sisters: Rose Rupp of Harrisburg and Olga Gonter and husband, George, of Hollidaysburg.

Jule was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Gina DeRensis; and a brother-in-law, Dave Rupp.
Mr. DeRensis was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1958 to 1964. He retired from the truck shop of the Samuel Rea Shop of Conrail in October 1989.
Jule was an avid rail fan and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed walking at the mall with his friends and puttering around his yard.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 2, 2013, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Tyler Pepper officiating.
Entombment will be made at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112
