Melvin R. Brown, 59, Claysburg, passed away Thursday at home.
He was born in Bedford, son of the late Roy M. and Mary E. (Brown) Brown.
Surviving are two brothers: Sherman of Buffalo, N.Y., and Ronald "Chap" of Claysburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Homer and Joseph; and two sisters: Pauline Dively and Erma Brown.
Melvin was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, classic trucks and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m., Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment will be at Horne Church Cemetery, Alum Bank.
