Mildred N. "Mitz" Smith, 97, Altoona, died Wednesday at Valley View Home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Clarence and Lula (Bryan) Kunes. She married Ross F. Smith, who preceded her in death on May 25, 1998.
Surviving are four children: Fredrick Smith of Altoona, Sondra Jean Moyer of Altoona, James R. Smith of Truckee, Calif., and Patricia Jones of Manheim; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Altoona High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of Altoona Grace Brethren Church.
Mitz enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Friends will be received from 9 until the 11 a. M. funeral service Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., officiated by Pastor Rodney Lingenfelter.
Interment will be in Blair Memorial Park.
