A 16-year-old boy was killed Wednesday in a shooting on the 100 block of East Third Avenue.
Authorities said they would not release the names of those involved.
Witnesses at the scene told the Mirror that one person was taken into custody. No charges have been filed as the investigation continued late Wednesday.
"The public is in NO danger," according to a department news release.
The Blair County Coroner's Office also was at the scene.
Mirror reporters are working on a story for Thursday's newspaper.
