Alice Virginia "Ginny" Harris, 88, daughter of James Wallace Foster and Charlotte Baumgartner-Foster, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Gwinnett Medical Center, Duluth, Ga.
On April 1, 1941, in Altoona, Ginny married Charles D'Neil "Neil" Harris, who preceded her in death on July 20, 2012.
Surviving are a son, James, and his wife, Hyeon, and their two children, Joshua and Angelica; and a son, Jeffrey, his wife, Lucia, and their daughter, Katherine.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Dorothy Shute and Louise Reighard; and brothers-in-law: Tom Shute and Edward Reighard.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren. Ginny could light up a room with her smile and laughter and always had a sweet treat tucked away for those visiting her. In retirement, she enjoyed gardening, bridge and spending time with her friends and family.
Ginny was a licensed beautician and was employed by Household Finance during the 1940s. She was a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church, Erie, for more than 42 years and was an officer and circle member.
Family and friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, PA 16601, with Pastor Mark R. Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
