William H. "Bill" Rhodes Jr., 38, of rural Hollidaysburg went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly Friday morning in Frankstown Township.
He was bom in Altoona, son of William H. Sr. and Paula L. (Berkheimer) Rhodes. He married Jennifer D. Lynn on April 17, 1999, at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 13 years; two children: Zachary S. and Katelyn A., both at home; his parents of Hollidaysburg; a brother, Justin L. (wife, Wendy) of Altoona; a sister, Marie M. of Hollidaysburg; a grandmother, Catherine M. Berkheimer of Hollidaysburg; his mother-in-law, Rose M. Lynn of rural Hollidaysburg; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael and Tina Lynn of Williamsburg; two nieces: Logan and Marcella Lynn; and a nephew, Roy Lynn.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Kenneth R. Berkheimer and Chester C. and Geraldine M. Rhodes; and his father-in-law, Kenneth D. Lynn.
Bill was a 1992 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School.
He was currently employed as a truck driver at Grannas Brothers Inc., Hollidaysburg.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, and the Heidelberg Country Club. Bill loved spending time with family and friends and his dog, Gunner. He also enjoyed throwing horseshoes, hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, with Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating. Interment will follow at New Canoe Creek Cemetery, rural Hollidaysburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given toward a future college fund for his children, Zachary and Katelyn, c/o Paula Rhodes, 555 Offspring Lane, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
