Sara A. Edwards of Altoona, formerly of Country Manor Apartments, Duncansville, died Saturday morning in Altoona.
She was the daughter of the late David and Sara Mae (Trout) Robeson. She married Wesley D. Edwards on Aug. 3, 1943. He died Aug. 21, 1984, after having shared 41 years of marriage.
She is survived by three daughters: Judy M. Steele of Lakemont, Susan M. Sukenik and Bernice C. Dodson, both of Duncansville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, David W. in 2008; and a grandson, Bobby Dodson in 2012.
Sara loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
