Joanne Y. Marlett, 76, of Altoona died Friday afternoon at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Enola, daughter of the late Oscar Sr. and Edna (Mumma) Priar. She married Russell C. "Buzz" Marlett in 1954 at Enola Church of God. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2009.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Marlett of Altoona; a granddaughter, Celena Marlett of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters: Geraldine Eslinger of Camp Hill and Louise Bishop of Bryan, Ohio; a brother, James Priar in Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Joanne was preceded in death by a son, Joseph; two sisters: Mildred Hoffman and Dolores "Pat" Foreman; and three brothers: Oscar Jr., Robert and Thomas Priar.
She retired from Warnaco as a quality inspector and was previously employed by Altoona Area School District as a crossing guard.
She was a member of the Swiss Rifle Club Ladies Auxiliary, a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society and a member of the Buccinese Club.
Joanne loved her family very much and enjoyed shopping with her granddaughter, Celena.
A private viewing and funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Ralph Hamer officiating. Interment will be made at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Joanne to the American Cancer Society, Blair County Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
