E. Marjorie Reed, 95, The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Altoona, went to be with the Lord Thursday at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Walter and Ethel (Woods) Ramsey. She married John N. "Duke" Reed on June 20, 1939.

Surviving are three grandchildren: Julie Russell (Scott), Jana Mock (Terry) and John Taylor (Kristin); four great-grandchildren: Tessa Robley (Andrew), Thayne Russell, Alexa Mock and Landon Mock; and special friends: Lillie Negley and Luci Russell.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Margie K. Linn; and a twin brother, Robert Ramsey.
Margie was a 1935 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. She retired as a teacher's aide from the Altoona Area School District after 16 years of service, and she had previously taught private dramatics lessons.
Margie was a member of First Church of Christ, where she taught Kingdom Builders class and taught Sunday school for more than 50 years. She was also a member of the YWCA, Altoona Women's Club and Quota Club. She enjoyed public speaking, golf and following Altoona High School and Penn State sporting events.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at First Church of Christ, 113 Good Shepherd Road, Altoona, by Pastor John Collins. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
