Just in time for the start of winter, snow is expected Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in State College.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday for Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre and Clearfield counties.
Rain is expected to change to heavy, wet snow, accumulating 3 to 5 inches, the weather service said.
A winter weather advisory for snow means a significant amount of snow is forecast that will make travel dangerous.
