James N. Pelton Sr., 75, Morrisdale, passed away Friday. He was born in Morrisdale, son of the late Frederick A. and Ethel L. (Miller) Pelton. Surviving are eight children: James, David, Stephen, Deanna, Susan, Aaron, April and Lisa; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Phyllis, Marlene, Gail, Roger and Eric. He was preceded in death by siblings: Fred Jr., Donald, Philip, Gary, Margaret, Catherine and Janice. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, and from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Strange and Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
