Cecil E. Kidd, 93, Bedford, died Monday at Homewood at Martinsburg.
He was the son of the late William V. and Linnie Mae (Naugle) Kidd. He was formerly married to Helen E. (Amick) Kidd.
Surviving are two daughters: Sharon Hite and husband, Daniel, of Bedford and McKenzie Kidd and husband, Ryan Wade, of Huntingdon; four grandchildren: Eric Kidd and wife, Christy (Vensel), John Fix and wife, Tonya (Littlefield), Victoria Foor and husband, Mike, and Paul Hite, all of Bedford; a daughter-in-law, Madelyn Fix and husband, Terry, of Bedford; four great-grandchildren: Brittany and Jeffrey Kidd, Misti Lehman and Eli Foor; and a great-great-grandson, Kamden Lehman.
He was preceded in death by a son, Victor E.; two sisters: Mary Filler and Anna Dean Barthalow; two brothers: Samuel Newton and Richard; and two infant brothers.
Cecil was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater.
Friends will be received from 9 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, Pastor Beth Pyles officiating. Burial will be at Bedford County Memorial Park with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
