Lois B. Thompson, 88, Coraopolis, formerly of Altoona, died Sunday at Broadmore Senior Living at Lakemont Farms, Bridgeville, after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Raymond and Olive (Wible) Hack. She married Miles Thompson on April 7, 1956, and he died Dec. 29, 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Stahl and husband, Robert; a granddaughter, Jessica; and a sister, Dorothy J. Sell.
Lois was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1943 graduate of Altoona School of Commerce secretarial classes. She retired in March 1986 from Reliance Savings and Loan after 30 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Altoona.
Lois enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, reading, cooking and spending time with her granddaughter.
At the request of the deceased, all services will be private. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
