Dorothy L. Amigh, 95, Altoona, passed away Monday at home.
She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Elmer and Maude (Heck) Sorg. She was twice married, first to John W. Garner, who passed away in 1975. She then married James Amigh at Faith United Methodist Church, and he died Dec. 11, 1989.
Surviving are two daughters: Carol (Darryl) Yeager of Bellwood and Shirley (Harry) Zwicker of Glen Mills; a son, John (Pat) Garner of Newark, Del.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Raymond; and a grandchild, Terry Owens.
Dorothy was a high school graduate and worked at Veeder-Root Co. for 12 years and at Bigelow Funeral Home for many years. She was a member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the chancel choir. She was also an active member of the Loyal Workers Sunday school class and the Off Your Rockers senior group.
Dorothy enjoyed NASCAR, flowers and watching television.
Friends will be received from 9 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Wehnwood United Methodist Church, the Rev. Evelyn Madison officiating.
In memory of Dorothy, donations may be given to Wehnwood United Methodist Church or Home Nursing Agency Hospice.
