Antoinette Updike, 86, Tyrone, died Saturday at Dubois Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Tyrone, daughter of Santo and Philomena (Cavoutti) Damico. She was twice married, first to Leonard T. Spyker on Aug. 26, 1944, in Tyrone. He died Jan. 15, 1987. She then married Robert L. Updike in 1992 in Tyrone.
Surviving are her husband; and three brothers: Joseph, Basil and George Damico, all of Tyrone.
She and her husband, Leonard Spyker, were owner and operators of the Lions Inn, Tyrone, for 20 years, retiring in 1975. She previously was employed at Big Yank, Tyrone.
She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Tyrone, and was an accomplished painter.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at St. Matthew Church with Father Jozef Kovacik, celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
