C. Alva Hostetler, 96, Meadow Road, Osterburg, died Sunday. He was born in Richland Township, son of the late Clyde and Minnie (Fry) Hostetler. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra K. Smith, Fishertown; and four granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Creighton); and a daughter, Debbie. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home Inc., Pleasantville, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, with Pastor Charlie Miller officiating. Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
