Odessa E. "Dutchie" (Patterson) Zeigler, 94, formerly of Madera, passed away Friday at Valley View Home.
She was born in Ramey, daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Shoff) Paterson. She married John Zeigler on Oct. 5, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1971.
Dutchie is survived by a daughter, Beth Ann Rhodes and her husband, Mick of Altoona; a sister, Lois Johnston of Tujunga, Calif.; a nephew, Jack Johnston; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Dutchie was a member of the Madera United Methodist Church and was a 1936 graduate of the former Madera High School. She also was a past member of the Madera High School Alumni Association and the Madera VFW Post 882 Ladies Auxiliary.
Along with being a homemaker, Dutchie helped her husband in daily operations of the former Zeigler's Jewelry Store of Houtzdale.
At Dutchie's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
