Hollidaysburg teams win

DUBOIS - The Hollidaysburg boys and girls swim teams opened their season on the road with victories over DuBois in high school action.

The girls did not have a doubles winner, but earned enough points through second- and third-place finishes for an 89-86 victory.

The Hollidaysburg boys got two wins each from Mace and Colter Long in a 98-78 win. Mace Long set a pool record in the 100 butterfly with a winning time of 53,55, The old mark was held by Adam Smearman, an Altoona graduate.

Clearfield sweeps Central

Clearfield swept Central, 118-21, in the boys competition and 115-47 in the girls at Penn State Altoona.

Brock Dodson won the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke for the Central boys, and Taylor Flaugh captured the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle and set a school record in each event.
