Three PC players named to team

Penn Cambria landed three players on the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association District 6 Class AA All-Star team.

Penn Cambria, which won the District 6 Class AA championship after finishing the regular season undefeated, landed senior outside hitter Taylor Freeman and junior middle hitter Tori Shingler on the first team and junior setter Kelly Yusko on the second team.

The following is a list of the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association District 6 All-Star picks:

Class AA

Philipsburg-Osceola: First team - Sophomore setter McKenzie Burge; Second team - Junior outside hitter Kylie Scovern.

Huntingdon: First team - Senior libero Haleigh Heaton; Second team - Sophomore outside hitter Mackenzie Garner.

Central Cambria: First team - Senior setter/middle hitter Samantha Elkin.

Central: Second team - Junior outside hitter Ashley Smith.

Cambria Heights: Senior team - Senior middle hitter Jamie Snedden.

Class AAA

Altoona: First team Junior libero Shannon Albright; senior outside hitter Hannah Moore; junior right side hitter Amanda Parrish;

Hollidaysburg: First team Senior setter Katie Reed; sophomore middle hitter Alex Scheel.

Class A

Bishop Guilfoyle First team Junior outside hitter Annie Dombrowski; junior libero Logan McIntosh; Second team Senior setter Rachel Potopa.

Bellwood-Antis First team Senior middle hitter Katy Leamer; junior middle hitter Emily Nagle.

Bishop Carroll First team Junior middle hitter Sarah Gomish; freshmen middle hitter Ellie Yahner.

Northern Cambria - Second team Junior libero Kelly Lieb.
