Robert G. "Pap" Wilt, 92, Sinking Valley, died Wednesday afternoon at Altoona Regional.
He was born in Duncansville, son of the late A. Brook and Clara (McElnay) Wilt. He married Christine M. Ecker on April 28, 1941, in Cumberland, Md.
Surviving are his wife; sons: David of Altoona and Allen in Ohio; daughters: Barbara Ferrone of Sinking Valley, Suzanne Boston in Arizona and Denise Lawrence of Altoona; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Perry of Hollidaysburg.
Robert was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He retired as a laborer at Altoona Mattress Factory and had an upholstery business at his home in Juniata.
Pap was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed growing plants, baseball and upholstery work.
There will be no public viewing or visitation. A private family memorial service will be held in the spring.
