Nancy A. Underwood, 67, Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at home from a battle with cancer.
She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late Sylvester E. Kuhn and Emma Jean LaRue Williams Bell Spencer. She was the loving wife of Ralph E. Underwood, and they celebrated six years of marriage on June 1, 2012.
Surviving in addition to her husband are five children: Wendy Early and husband, Thomas, of Harrisburg, Lisa Smith and husband, William, of Middletown, Lori Tini and companion, David Turkos, of Scranton, Bobbie Whitcomb of New Bloomfield and Shawn Hagie and companion, Sonja Fink, of Bellwood; a stepdaughter, Tonya Underwood of Elizabethtown; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three siblings: Robert Spencer of Elizabethtown, Jane Kennedy and husband, Ronald, of Hollidaysburg and Margie Hall of Alexandria; and a sister-in-law, Kay Bell of Tyrone.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and Benjamin Bell; and a sister-in-law, Elsie Bell.
A graduate of the Thompson Institute, Nancy was an accountant and had been employed at the Elizabethtown VFW and Smith's Service Center. She was previously employed at Pennsylvania Delivery Systems Inc., Pennsy Supply and Houch Contractors.
Nancy was a life member of the Middletown Anglers and Hunters, Elizabethtown Ladies Auxiliary VFW 5667, Elizabethtown Moose and Elizabethtown Ladies Auxiliary American Legion 329. She enjoyed reading, football, NASCAR, camping, swimming and clubbing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Boyer Funeral Home, 144 E. High St., Elizabethtown, where a memorial service celebrating Nancy's life will follow at 3 p.m.
